In other news, I finally called Mom on her drama stuff about my JET plans. "If you use the phrase 'you can't just leave me...' one more time, I can swear to you I will move there permanently. Mmmk?" (No, not quite like that, but you get the idea.)
Kickass thing about being an adult: Your folks generally stop the 'OMG j00 t33n4g3 hor!!1!' crap when you question them, and instead adopt a "Oh, really? Huh." approach. *waves little flag*

And watching people go in reverse on the freeway is strangely amusing. . . The 5 was at a complete halt tonight, so folks were pulling over to the shoulder and just backing up to get to the nearest exit, since there was no way to pull farther forward. Gave me the giggles, anyway. (And really, watching people court danger and vehicular destruction is about the only thing TO do when your car's stuck in park with nowhere to go. . . )
