I know it's old news, but for the love of keeerist, our property manager is a fekkin' MORON.
Our thermostat(s) have been broken for months, the AC in the building is schizophrenically inconsistent at best, and the one thermostat that needs to be turned UP so people aren't freezing is the one that the AC tech locked [out of laziness] so no one (other than him) can change it. Rrrrgh. [Which means we've had the more nimble guys in the office up on chairs and desks closing vents like whoa to keep it somewhat less frigid, though everyone still comes whining to me. And I'd get myself fired if I pointed out the ready availability of bringing a SWEATER to work, y'know?]
*stomps, snarls, acts generally T-Rex-ish*
And our property manager's suggested solution? $8,000 in duct alterations. Not a (relatively inexpensive) thermostat replacement, but a construction crew crawling around re-directing aluminum conduits. DUMB. Just... dumb!
[This changes a simple temperature adjustment how?]
I still need a bitchy work icon. Hm.

Dieting... Blah.
Mar. 20th, 2006 04:03 pmI think the worst part about trying to diet is the failing miserably part.
I got stressed this morning. Y'know what I did? Ordered two fried breakfast sandwiches from the door-to-door guy. >.<
Mom called; she's having car trouble. Which means I just may have to drive out to AZ tonight to pick her and her stuff up if she can't find a rental or a repair shop via AAA.
Dammit.
