Nummers. Someone brought bagels today! ^_^ Panera bagels. Mmmm. [This is good, because I found out the milk I bought 2 days ago was already soured. Wah. S'what I get for going to the asian market across the street and it's tiny dairy case, instead of the larger supermarket up the road aways. So no breakfast for me! Wah.]

And it was raining lightly on the way to work, so I'm in a happy place right now. If I'd woken up sooner, I'd've remembered last night's chai in the fridge, too, and put on one of the BPAL. (Lady of Shalott is good for a rainy day, methinks.) Ah well.

Oncoming migraine.

Tonight's drive home is going to SUCK. (Double-suck is that Mom wants help cleaning the garage, which will involve bending over, straightening, and all sorts of other changes in balance to further upset my inner ear/queasy stomach. Oof. Here's hoping I don't puke everywhere.)

In other news, uhm. Well, I was rather unpleasantly shocked by just how much of a jackass one of the sub-tenants can be (shocked because, for all there's that whole warning via the fact he's a lawyer, he doesn't talk much and keeps to himself) - he asks me to make copies, and while a visitor is there, starts going on and on about how "stupid" and "useless" his admin. assistant is. [ One - that's really bad form within earshot of another AA; you don't know just how chummy I am with her, and Two - performance review isn't just a 90-day thing. If something's up, TELL HER. She deserves at least some feedback. ] Doubly surprising (or not - I have a rather jaded view of most people in executive positions) is that the AA herself was telling me a short while later how frustrating Mr. Big-Shot is, because she was certain everything was copacetic when he left early without further instructions or an updated document (which I was now printing for him) last night.

*headdesk*

Yet again, further proof that even when the truth hurts, at least have the guts to say it to the person it's about. Jeebus. This poor woman is probably going to get canned without notice and not know why. -.-
