Kimono Frenzy

A high pile of silks
In seasonal bright colors
Festooned all about -
Why do I still feel as if
There is naught for me to wear?
Busy folding kimono that have been 'airing' for two months now because I'm slow like that, and found a stain on one (washable, thankfully) so that went into the machine and is hanging in the garage now to de-wrinkle. I have my kimono choices picked for this Sunday (cherry blossom fest at Bowers Museum), and the 19th (Opening Day lecture of the Samurai exhibit at Bowers, where I JUST found out that Prof Pitelka will be lecturing! ZOMG). Still have to pick something for the Orange County Buddhist Church's Hanamatsuri on the 18th, but I'm thinking it's going to be a casual L-size komon, and if the weather is warm, hitoe (and to heck with the purists who say hitoe's not until May/June! It's SoCal and it's hot.) Now to figure out the obi and accessory bits. I may wear my fancy zori on Sunday, despite them being far too formal, just to break them in a bit more, since it's probably going to be a shorter day than the other two weekend events.
Also, the obi I'm coveting shot from 99 cents to 50 bucks tonight. I think I may regret my max-bidding-ness by auction end, but this is the fourth time I've missed out on this style of obi, dangit. I won't be outbid again, even if it means abusing the Visa privilege a bit. (I've got overtime pay coming... I could manage it in a pay period or three... Or dip into savings, but... I'd rather not reduce my New Computer Fund in its infancy.)
I also need to go up to Kyoei, because my black crane houmongi is just starving for some bright, sunny yellow accessories, of which I have NONE. (Note to self - date-eri in butter yellow.) And I need a nice kimono I've bought let out for my large American backside, and that will be a two or three week turnaround. So. (Note to self: make a list this time, dammit.)
I also need about $400 plus shipping and fees because I have found wine red, deliciously simple, 27 cm women's zori on Rakuten. My Godzilla feet rejoice. My bank account will weep.
