Short Straw

wakeiseiyoDrew the short straw at work today - bad budget plus poor business practices means there's a hiring freeze and a freeze on moving people around.
So I'm still stuck in the unit I hate, the one that makes me go home and wonder if unemployment wouldn't really be that awful. (Yes, I know, I have a job, I should be grateful, but it gets damn hard to hear about really questionable business practices and the Bad Choices made by managers on a regular basis.)
So I get to 'stick it out' for another 6 months, at a minimum.
I held it together pretty well IMHO until I got to my cube, and then I had a good, quiet cry when no one was looking.
