The Tower of London, which I've heard so many positive things about, simply SUCKED. Most everything but the main central tower (now a godawful maze of displays) and the Crown Jewels were open. Oh, and the cafe. It wasn't worth the seventeen or so equivalent US dollars to get in. >.< No touching, no stopping, no seeing the sights that make the damn place famous. . . ugh.

I got new books at the British museum though, which are much more worth the smaller £7.99 sum each; 'Geisha', about the only Western woman to become an actual geisha, and 'Kimono', also by the same author, describing the evolution and nuances of Japan's most well-known article of clothing. Also bought a small book of patterns of typical Japanese design for reference when drawing. Whee.

Dunno what we're doing tomorrow. St. Paul's, probably. Mom won't stop talking about how she wants a guided tour and where's the best Tube route to get to the silver vaults? o.o;; SHe won't let dad and I just lurk about the hotel room, though. BLeh.

Dad has a Righteous Big Stick. I nearly used it today on several small and very annoying children, one little monster in particular (I admit to roughly shoving him, albeit discretely, when he tormented me for the third time. His own fault he tried to push past me while standing between my nice'n'bony hip and a wall...) Oh, future mothers of the world? NEVER EVER buy your little spawn a replica wooden sword and then NOT keep an eye on them. I will not be held responsible for the resulting pain I shall have to inflict in order to impress upon such monsters some idea of discipline and manners.

Tomorrow had better be an improvement on today. Ugh.
