This sleeping thing is something I apparently SUCK at. Nap? 1 hour turned into 2. Blah.
So. Coffee, then we start paper #2 -- 10-12 pages, by 5pm. The teacher accepts bribes -- I may be going to Barnes and Noble at 3pm...
(By this time tomorrow I will be DONE! Except for finals.)

--------------------------------------------------
. . . 2600 Words done, 000 to go . . .
--------------------------------------------------

1:30 am: I still have under 50 words to work with, but I just spent the last 4 hours poring over books and sources and now? I have TOO MUCH to say, and I still don't know how to organize it coherently or effectively. If I don't have a page in the next hour, I'm going to start writing mini-essays and just cut-and-pasting them together this afternoon. Mini-essays I can do. o.o:
*headdesk* Aaaand back to work now.
3:00 am: I now have just under 800 words -- I'm a third of the way there. I've taken the mini-essay route, because it means I can jump to different sections of the essay to create organized, cohesive paragraphs without getting muddled by worries of continuity. That's what transition phrases in the editing phase are for. (Random thought of the day: Given the way my room looks now for a 10-page paper, plastered with notes and outlines on every available surface, I'm beginning to worry there won't be room to walk come thesis time next semester...)
7:15am: Took a 2-hour nap to kill a headache and some stress. It probably helped as much as hurt (time-wise), but now I can re-read what I've written and it makes some amount of sense. Bonus to that. I'm going to try for another full page before I quit for breakfast, and see where I stand before class at 10:30.
