Well, it ain't pretty
Jun. 18th, 2006 08:21 pmBut it's functional.
Did a bit of rearranging of the office. Those of you who have seen my (Dad's) office - I turned the desk 180 degrees and pushed it flush with the cabinetry below the window. The primary point of this ugly-assed arrangement is so I can actually SEE my monitor during the daytime, since the afternoon sun made it damn near impossible. I also pushed the printer cart from by the door to the corner between the window and the bookshelves, so I don't have to walk completely around the office and desk every time I print something.
It's damn ugly in here, but now I can actually work without squinting or letting things sit for ages until I can get the giveadamn up to do something.
Next project: Filing cabinet replacement - the rickety old wood one HAS to go. We only use about 1/5th of the space, so we need to find a vertical file drawer that we can tuck in one corner, and then I'll have way more closet space for SCA and other items. Huzzah.
Getting the steadily growing mountain of Goodwill crap out will help tons, too. . .
