So, I tried taking the online tests for AppleOne. Apparently, despite having both OS and internet compatibility, it just wouldn't run. Which means I got to haul my sorry butt back over to the agency in something relatively nice and take an hour of aptitude tests there, instead. (While I trust the computer running the software more than an internet plug-in, the constrast and brightness on those screens is permanently ferkakked. So it was a very long, very squinty hour.) Breakdown is, Word at 90% (I would do better if the test questions covered some other aspects of the program... d'oh.); Excel at 94%, Outlook at a dismal 80-ish, Powerpoint also at something in the 80% range, and strangest of all, Access at 95%.
... I don't suppose I mentioned I've never used Access in my life? Yeah.
And after two grocery trips, I managed to remember to actually BUY milk. o.o: Good thing the store's close, or I'd be out of gas by now.
And I have four cavities, per the Tooth Fairy, and they need to be drilled on first thing Monday. (Yay, way to start the effin' week.) Which means I'm going to have a ridiculously high medical bill to pay soon. And my car registration is $250 as is. Thank you, California.
Still waiting on work. *muttergrumble* I'm going to place calls again tomorrow, tell them I'll take lower wages (I KNOW there are higher-paying jobs out there, dammit!) if it'll get me a paycheck or two. Rar.
