So.
Cho-Sen is sick today. She was fine yesterday, fine earlier today, and then when Mom and I came home from dinner, she was walking crooked because she couldn't get her back feet to go in the same direction as her front. She also can't get her head below her shoulders; we had to hand-feed her dinner because she couldn't get her head to her dish (not a far drop, really). This means that we start her on anti-inflammatories, some heating pad therapy, and after that, we hope. Mom has stated that she refuses to pay the ridiculous bill that surgery on the dog's back would cost, if it comes to that. (I don't blame her, it's $5K+.) Before, an antibiotic and some antiinflammatories worked; hopefully it will this time. Possibly a less expensive chiropractic treatment. But blah, y'know? Cho-Sen's too small to dose her the way we would the other dogs, with really low doses of children's painkillers or similar - even the smallest doses are too much for her 5 pounds. So we give her a few drops a day of some steroid-type stuff we have in the cabinet (for just such a purpose... we have crap luck when it comes to low-maintenance dogs) and see what that does. Bah.

Finished off the cupcakes. Yes, all of them. I made two muffin pans' worth of strawberry, sugary goodness. :D I am SO never losing weight. :(

BroDavil, THANK YOU for the pri'i flowers! ^__^ Dad-of-Lord-Sojourn, thank you for dropping off the flowers from L_S, and dealing with my skank morning breath and the chaos that ensues when the doorbell rings. I hope I didn't kill you from the unwashed nasty of oversleeping on weekends. (Yes, I *am* especially lazy about the basics like hygiene before 6pm on a Saturday.) [And now y'all know why it is so wonderful to know me from a safe, sterile distance.]
And now, off to scribble some; the writing bug left a brief calling card. May as well get it out of my system.
