wakeiseiyoI know, it's stupid, but DAMN am I getting sore with the two expectants in the office cluster constantly going 'gosh i'm hormonal' and 'forgot - must be preggo-brain!' and 'i'm PREGNANT!' over and over and over. Seriously, folks, I'm getting close to going, 'Forgot - must be that enforced sterility brain!' and 'I'm NOT pregnant!' soon.
It's not that I'm not happy for them - they're obviously excited - but good LAWD are they driving me nuts. I think I must be some sort of officeNazi to expect business-only discussion in places of business, lately. That or it's just the residual sour taste from the last job, where my supervisor actively called up her children to verbally abuse them about the gripe du jour. Go fig.
On the bright side, I'm not going to be coming home exhausted from this place - shorter day, encouraged breaks, and the work itself is pretty simple - data entry, data checking, word processing, relaxed deadlines... For three times better pay than the last job. Many up sides to this. (Added bonus - it starts a half hour later, which means instead of a 45 minute commute, it usually takes me 15-20, depending on how bad the freeway merge is.)
I just wish I had the administrative capability to change my background/colorscheme/etc. I HATE WINDOWS BLUE. Really. It's the one shade of blue that just grates on my eyes and nerves. At least I can download FireFox. Thank heaven for small favors.
