I'm tired - even when one is NOT so worried about finals, they're still stressful and exhausting (and surprising, too - I have found that I greatly underestimate my ability to retain knowledge sometimes).
So. Trip to the kimono store tomorrow, to pick up some more kitsuke items, and replace a few that have worn out or grown legs (a regrettable side effect to being the unofficial kitsuke expert to the other tea students because I know that left goes over right and Google is good for finding tutorials). I also plan on looking at what LL-sized items are in stock (and I hope there's something fun and not just another solid color). I'm hoping, also, that the kimono I do have to be let out can indeed be worked on (real silk, and lined, so my limited skills are very much useless). I know there's definitely seam allowance in the one I REALLY want to fit, and the other one I haven't checked but I'm fairly certain there is. So we'll see.
I intend to sleep in tomorrow, because I'm tired and next week is going to BLOW donkey balls. Seriously. Renewals suck eversomuch. (And frustratingly enough, are the only time I see any real action or interesting stuff pass my desk, because I gotta tell you, internets, desk jobs get boring very, very quickly.)
Of course, perpetual student that I am, I got my certificate in the mail for the Intro class (just 'pass', not good or excellent, because apparently, the actual class portion was scored as well as the test, and when it meets during the work day and you have a sporadically needy coworker, things just don't get done), I sent in the paperwork for the next segment, and assuming no one fires me or I quit, it's paid for. I love my (sometimes dull) job. I'm also all signed up for the sewing class on M-W nights, so hopefully, I'll progress beyond woefully straight lines and simple pouches without form or function soon.
And now, I'm off to check a few email accounts and then, I think, shuffle off to bed. I'm too tired to even bother getting drunk like I'd planned (and watching AMC or something entertaining).
