Gah. Up and down...

The amount of frustrated and angry I've been feeling lately is just... overwhelming. There isn't much more of a way to describe it than that.
On the up side, work was more clarified today - I asked to meet with my supervisor and simply said, 'Look, G's going to stab me in the back again. I know it. How do I prevent it?' and she said simply, "no one here give's a rat's flea-bitten ass about G - we're waiting for her to retire or die." Which is about as much endorsement for my good job so far as I'll ever get. I was also told that I'm being put in a customer service position because I'm such a good performer, that it's better than production for the company because they know I'll deal with the clients and make sure things get done. So. That's good news. Also, the list of 'poor performers' who are the first line for being cut? Was put together last month. And I"m not on it. So.
Relief there.
Now, if I could only figure out how to deal with the frustration of this whole getting-mail-at-all thing, I'd say today was pretty good despite the sore throat. Lunch out was nice, though it went from being a geek fest about the retro sci-fi stuff like The Rocketeer and Sky Captain to a venting session about work in general... Meh. On the other hand, Topz is awesome for fast food that's actually good for you - I had a chili burger and fries and the whole thing was probably under the 600-calorie mark. Which means I'm at about 1200 for the day - I should eat another 400 of something, but I'm not hungry, which also has me wondering if I'm sick. I don't normally lose all appetite unless I'm fighting a bug. Wah.
Still have the sore throat, but I've drunk enough tea/water/fluids I may as well have replaced my kidneys with a Brita filter. So. Hopefully a heavy dose of some Zinc and twelve hours of sleep will help.
So. Set the alarm, sleep, get up and go raise hell at the post office (in a non-threatening yet I-mean-business manner. I'll wear The Boots for some confidence boosting), then do laundry and probably sleep some more.
Willow has a harness now - there is no longer no excuse for not getting her somewhat leash trained.
