I realize that I am here to help. Yes, yes I do. The whole point of my temp-staffing in this office is to provide clerical assistance for the rest of the team. That said, when you come up to me and ask if I'm busy, and I tell you I am, and gesture to a half-ream's worth of spreadsheet printouts that I'm trying to review, do NOT:
a) go whine to my supervisor so that she comes over and pesters me about prioritizing; I've already bumped several projects down the list longer than I should have. This really makes it hard for me to keep up the 'I love EVERYONE! :D :D' demeanor necessary for sanity at work.
or
b) when I tell you that I am ready to help you out, decide that you're too tired, and tell me we'll do it later. And yes, I did make sure we set a specific time; you really like wandering over unannounced and hoping you'll jump to the top of the list. Your projects don't come with due dates, therefore, you will not be given priority. Sorry.
