wakeiseiyoI owe the lady who did it more money than I thought (by a lot... it was not a well-thought-out plan on my part), BUT IT FITS!!
The seams actually line up! Like they're supposed to! ZOMG!
I bought this on eBay 4 years ago or thereabouts, and it's silk. It has a single mon on the back center seam (I *think* it's kodaiji, IIRC), and it was always a little too short at the wrists and a bit too narrow at the hips.
And now it fits! *happydance* [I'll be paying the alterations off for a month or three - it was hand-sewn because it was silk. I can't wait to take and pass the sewing class this spring so the chasm of what I don't know won't seem quite so vast and I can do this to a polyester kimono or two I have.]
ETA: This shows the sleeve length (but I forgot to smile) so I look like a dork. Ah well. I also erased the laundry and messy background because, well, no one wants to see that. And I look kinda rounded, because downward angles do that to people. Aaaaaanyway. I'm more excited than I look, I promise.
