There it is.

Good lordie I'm tired. Been on my feet since 7:00, getting dressed and ready and then getting to the restaurant to help setup. I bowed out of cleaning up - I got there at the crack-ass of dawn, someone else can haul shit OUT of the restaurant.

Saw the G-Man for the first time in a year, and MAN did I miss that guy. He's so awesome and funny and hey, he shared his sake, so the rest of the afternoon was WAY better than the morning had been. (The world is a much less stressful place after five shots of Junmai Ginjyo.) I need to go find the brand he had, because it was NUMMERS. Not dry and nasty at all. I'll hit up Mitsuwa some evening after work when the parking lot isn't utter chaos. [One of these days, I'm voting they close the lot and at least re-paint the spots to be 6" wider, because JEEBUS. Also, figure out a flow-of-traffic map.)

Didn't have much money on me for the bazaar, but I snagged a 25-cent Kimono Salon mook [yes, 'mook'] (it's only 7 years out of print, but it has how-to stuff!) and a $2, mint-condition obijime in colors I actually wear. And I snagged a business card of one of the ladies who had made these really neat obidome and plates and whatnot, but as I had no more than $5 in my wallet (including all the pennies), I couldn't buy one. www.takemasayumiko.com if you want to see. So I need to email her and ask which are still available later when I have $20 cash+shipping. But they're spiff! :)

I poofed my hair (it was supposed to *curl*, but it poofed. Go figure.) and put two little pearl pins in and that was it. It's not long enough to be worth the hassle of pinning it back with a multitude of bobby pins when I can barely make a ponytail. But K-Sensei said (through Sensei) that my kitsuke is improving. I like to think it's the judicious use of korin belts, m'self. And I hassled Mom awake long enough to snap photos. So yey. I have peektures of my kitsuke *and* my new hair color. Fun times.

[Note to self: sew snaps into pink poly kimono, so we don't have to go scrambling to find a safety pin at 6:45am when We Are Not Awake.]

So yes. Day went well, my feet are KILLING me. Off to make m'self a margarita and watch teevee.
