Sep. 21st, 2006 12:02 pmToday's scent: Lucy's Kiss
It's the spicier, drier version of Hell's Belle, I think; it's got less vanilla and more bite to the notes. 'Created to represent the essence of Bram Stoker's tragic herione, Lucy Westenra. Seductive, wanton and deadly, but underscored with a soft, wistful innocense. The gentle scent of rose and a blend of Victorian spices.' I like it, but not overmuch. I'll probably hoard the imp, but I don't think this is going to make it into the 5ml wishlist pile (unless for some reason I join an afternoon tea anachronism group - then I'm all over this for a perfume choice). It's a little too... dusky? for me. The spices make it warm, but not warm enough. Hm. I'm reminded of dried flowers in a sun-warmed attic. [Yes, that is the image that pops into my head at this scent. Go figure.]
